Today, we will be showing you simple ways on how you can easily promote your business and earn money. This is something that a lot of people struggle with a lot of times, we get so scared to promote our own businesses, we feel that people are going to unfollow us or we feel that we are pushing our business too much and are being too salesy but think thing about how often you are promoting other business.

When you get that coffee in the morning, you take a little picture of it or when you have a cute outfit on and you tag the company who you got it from, those are things that are promoting other people’s businesses and we do it a lot of times without even realising. Really put into perspective how frequently you are promoting other people’s businesses and then think about how frequently you promote yours.
A lot of times, we underpromote our own businesses. It is equally as ineffective to underpromote your business as it is to be overly salesy.

How to Easily Promote your Business and Earn Money In 2022

In this article, I’ll be giving you some tips that you can implement into your marketing strategies to really begin to push your business out in an effective way.

How to Easily Promote your Business and Earn Money In 2022

1.) Doubling down on social media

The first thing I recommend is doubling down on two social media platforms. I said specifically two because when you are a solopreneure or a small business or start up, a lot of times you do not have a full social media team.

You might not even have one person helping you with social media or anything in your business, so it becomes difficult to try to be on everything and be doing everything effectively on every platform. I don’t say don’t explore with other platforms, I think it is great to explore with other platforms but for the most part, your focal point should be in two places and I always say choose a long-form content platform which will be your YouTube where you can promote long valuable videos or a blog where it’s longer written content or podcast and pair it with a platform that is more short-form content like an Instagram, a twitter, Facebook, places where you can kind of bounce off of each other and one promotes high value and the other products high engagement.

This is one of my biggest tips, if you really find a focal point on which platforms actually makes sense for you to be on, then you can effectively promote your business. There are so many businesses who are not taking advantage of Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok of all these other platforms that your information and your content will thrive on, you are just simply in the wrong place. So the best thing to do is to figure out where should I be? What social media platform even make sense for me to be on for this type of business?

    2.) Social Content Marketing

The second tip is Having social content marketing that really stands out. A lot of times, we hear people say that it is so crowded, everything is saturated when it comes to putting out content. So three ways you can make your content stand out are by:

    Going more indepth

You have to give depth instead of breadth because a lot of contents that people are spewing out is very baseline content.  So if you can go more indepth and give people more value and kind of answer the questions that they may be thinking and you are kind of thinking ahead of them, that definitely helps and I think that has been a big reason why our readers keep returning because we make sure that all information here are always detailed and accurate. Answering questions before your consumers even ask them is always going to help.

    Add a new perspective

The second way that you can cut through the noise with your content and really stand out is by adding a different perspective, especially if you are skilled in a different perspective. Use your perspective to your advantage.

    Have a voice

The third thing you can do to make your content marketing really stand out is to have a voice. I want you to know how important it is to embrace who you are. Your content must look real and relatable so you really have to bring as much of that to your videos or to your writing or to your podcast as you possibly can. Just don’t be boring, that’s a big problem that a lot of contents have. If you can add some personality, change up your vocabulary, just have fun with it.

3.) Mixing Soft Promoting with Harder Promoting

You want to make sure you have a good balance where you are not always asking for the sale but you are also not scared to ask. For instance, when you are email marketing, posting on social media, writing your blog or whatever kind of content you are creating, don’t always ask for the sale in every single post. There should be a very good balance of both, you don’t want to over sell but you don’t want to not ever mention the things that you are doing.

If you really want to be showing off your products and using them, use them as much as you can whether it’s in person, if you have a show or something and you have a candle company, light the candle so people can smell it as you’re having your event. Do things that actually use your products that is soft selling and then mix it in with actually asking people to buy. Be sure to figure out what balance works best for you.

    4.) Capitalize on Micro-Influencers

A lot of times, we want to pitch to people who have tens of thousands of followers and hundreds of thousands of subscribers and it’s like they are literally walking billboards at this point, so most of the time at a certain calibre, people are not going to promote your business for free.

Free product is not cash a lot of times when you are competing with other big companies who are pitching to Influencers and they are giving them thousands of dollars, an influencer is not going to wear your cute shirt, I’m sorry. An influencer who has a huge following is probably not even going to look at that email. You want to make sure that you are capitalising on micro Influencers which are huge right now, there are so many people who have even less than 5,000 followers or less than 10,000 followers who are willing to promote your product who have very niche audiences that will be your dream demographic and they are often very open to getting free products without necessarily getting thousands of dollars, maybe they will charge a couple of 100 bucks but it’s nothing nearly as competitive as these huge Influencers.

So, I would highly recommend reaching out to micro influencers in your niche. It will take a little digging but I will suggest you use hashtags, search on YouTube, Pinterest or Instagram and see who you can find. I would say less than 10,000 followers on either of the platforms mentioned will be a great benchmark for you to know if they have an engaged audience, just peruse, see how good their post look or how great their video are, you would be surprised how much of a sales conversion you can get from people with smaller audience whose audiences really trust them. They just may not be to the masses yet, so catch them in that phase and you can really grow with these types of influencers because as your business grows and as their platform grows, you can kind of play off of each other.

5.) Know exactly who your Business is Servicing

When you know who your business specifically is servicing, it makes it so much easier for one to reach out to micro influencers and two what to say, what to post all becomes a lot clearer when you have a targeted audience or at least a target audience persona.

We don’t just say have a target audience or a target audience persona for no reason, it is because it helps so much with your marketing effort on how you use your voice, how you post, what type of post you make, who you reach out to to help you promote your business. So all of those things come together and make such a huge difference when you have a target audience persona.

6.) Have a Variety on your Social Media

If you do have an Instagram account, I would recommend you post some videos, post some pictures, don’t have all super themed professional pictures.  Have some real life pictures, have pictures not just product shots but actual people using the product or biting into your cookies or whatever it is. Make sure you are showing people a variety so they can get a well-rounded experience of whatever service or product that you are offering. Same goes to YouTube, take advantage of YouTube live, posting on the community page, really take advantage of all of the areas of these different social media platforms because they are there for a reason.

    7.) Make it shareable

Whether that be an extraordinary unboxing experience or you have a nail salon and you make it look beautiful so that when people come in, they want to take pictures or if you have an online business and you start creating templates for people to share on Instagram stories. It’s just about thinking outside the box and how can I get my audience that I currently have to talk about me more. You can’t do everything, like you need your audience talking about you as well and so a big way to do that is making your contents more shareable and making an experience that your audience is excited to share.

    8.) Tell a Story

The biggest, most powerful form of marketing is storytelling. This is the key to building an audience, into building a successful marketing strategy. Everything needs to tell a story and it is not even all about how crystal clear your pictures are, how you polish your logo and your website looks, it’s about ‘can you tap into people’s hearts and emotions and really tell a story that captures them and leads them into converting into customers?’ But most importantly how are you in your business becoming a part of your customers’ story?

    Conclusion

Promoting your business can seem tough but it’s all about you being creative, you knowing your business and knowing the type of audience that you have because when you do know those things, it makes it so much easier for you to have fun and really push out contents that your ideal audience will enjoy consuming.
